Are the Rumors True?
As you may know, there has been a lot of speculation from creators that Instagram has been restricting reach from content. Especially with certain CTAs such as “link In bio” or “Shop my Bio,” or other posts with sales heavy driven copy.
Mosseri Debunks this Rumor
Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram has stated that Instagram is NOT restricting reach of posts that Include “link in bio” in the caption.
“This one is that if you say ‘link in bio’ it’s going to decrease your reach. That is not true. You’re more than welcome to say ‘link in bio,’ it will not affect your reach one way or another.” - Mosseri (7/23/25).
So Why are Creators Seeing Less Reach?
Well, it could be for multiple reasons. Creators could be relying too much on drive from “link In bio,” or your audience may be experiencing content fatigue.
As we know, the algorithm can be tough to battle at times, but it is important to create quality over quantity content to capture to your audience’s attention.
